Any Anti-Bacterial spray will work. As far as the smell from scented lysol, I do not think this will harm the shrooms, or the taste. You may want to try and not use so much next time.

I use the Clorox anti-bacterial spray and wipes for my procedures. I use the "Fresh Scent" flavor. I love the wipes as well for use during the innocluation phase to wipe the needle tip with and I rest the syringe on the wipe too when I'm not holding it. Figured it's better to be safe than sorry!

"Well Wally WOrld didnt have just a plain no scented lysol, so I had to get spring waterfall." Damn it. I couldn't find any uncented lysol today, sdo i ended up buying the same scent you did. I agree, it's the best scent they had to offer, actually, it was the only scent that wasn't completly geared toward women (flowing pine, ovulating pink salmon etc)

Do you folk have money to burn or something?! ;-)
Some distlled water and H2O2 (aim for about 1% concentartion by volume) will work just as well as Lysol or whatever.
The great thing about H2O2 is that it breaks down into harmless chemcials (peroxides are by their nature unstable). There's a little bit of stabilizer added, but not enough that'll it'll harm you or your shrooms.

I don't know how well a water and hydrogen peroxide mixture would work on airborne molecules, i imagine the particles would fall, and maybe disinfect any particles got trapped in the mixture as it fell toward the ground. Perhaps it could work well on the airbornes if the mixture was dispersed in a finer mist. I still think lysol works best in the air. It also kills 99.9% of the nasties within 30 seconds, you can get a bleach version which does the same, lasting for 24 hours. I don't know how much it costs, but i'd pay and extra dollar for the unscented spray... The scented stuff just smells like it's not working.

A canister of anti-bacterial spray isn't even $5.

Wow, I bet putting some anti-bacterial soap in a spray bottle would be even cheaper, eh? Heh, what a mess that would make... Besides anti-bacterial doesn't do anything against virus or fungi...

Actually, I looked at the back of my "Pine Breeze" scented lysol and it says it kills a bunch of bacteria, viruses, mildew, and foot fungus.
