#660481 - 06/03/02 12:42 PM (24 years, 4 months ago)

ok i did a test casing with 3 layers bottom layer moist verm middle layer 1 pint cake crumbled top layer moist verm after i did this i covered everything up and put it in about 80 degrees heat its been 5 days and i see lil mycelium popping up so i threw a lil more moist verm over that area hoping to get a even pin set since its been 5 days is it safe to give it air exchange and some light now or should i wait a few more days?

Gop for it
A small casing like that would not foloow 'normal' time guidelines.
BTW - casings sometimes mature early, so when you see mycelia, and its been at least 4 days, iniate pinning.
Always trust your gut. Guidelines are never fixed.
