Quick question on 50/50 casing.

In the 50/50 casing guide on the shroomery it says that the casing soil should be dripping but not running water, is this before or after I put it in the Pressure cooker? Because I know the PC drys it out. So should I just saturate it, then PC it, then wring it out till it only drips?

Also my cakes are a little on the dry side, should I make it so the casing soil is a little bit more moist? Or should I just mist a little bit more?

Make the casing soil the way the instructions say to. Then sterilize it. After that if its dry add distilled water untill its just wet enough to squeeze water throughout your fingers.

yes, casing material doesnt usually have to be completely sterile, since there are no nutrients for mold bacteria to feed on...that doesnt mean your casing cant be overcome, but generally it is infection resistant.
in other words, adding water later isnt a huge sin, just be relatively clean about it.
