Anyone try the Micron Magick 50/50 + casing mix?

i was wondering if anyone has tried the Micron Magick Mycology Market pre-mixed 50/50 + casing. any opinions on it? i am tired of the old style PF and then just sitting my cakes on some perlite and want to try something new, but i have read about tons of problems with people new to casing. do ya think it is worth it to try the Micron Magick stuff? a 3 gallon bag of 50\50+ coir is $15. they also have peat for $18.
any help is aprreciated.

Casing is not really that hard. However you just have to make sure everything that comes in contact with the casing layer SHOULD be sterilzed. You should also do everything on an oven...(a la oven tek).

I would personally just go with the coir. I have heard nothing but good about that stuff, adn I have had a good realationship with it myself. The only thing Ive noticed with it, is that it DOES dry out a little, so misting is a must. However the next time I am going to case, im going to use 1 part verm to 3 parts coir, hopefully won't be so prone to dry out.

Just go buy your own and sterlize yourself. It would be cheaper. A coir brick is only 2 bucks, and the verm bag is only 2 bucks... :smile:
