important LSA question

ok, so, i've looked at many extraction methods and i need my LSA to be pretty potent as i'd like to have them on paper. Here's my idea: do the non-polar/polar extraction but in the polar part, use water instead of alcohol (50mL or water for 150 hbr seeds/3500 mg seeds). Then let the water evaporate till it leaves the good stuff. Then re-dissolve the good stuff in a smaller portion of alcohol. I guess using water for the polar instead of alcohol doesn't really matter, but its what came to mind. Would this, make the final tincture very potent??

I'm no chemist, but there is a reason to use alcohol aside from the fact that it evaporates quickly. Water is only slightly polar, which means if you're trying to absorb the LSA with a substance which can behave as a non-polar solvent, you're not going to pick up nearly as much. So, no, using water would make it much less potent if I understand my chemistry correctly.

Cool. That makes sense. Super thanks for that! I've never heard anyone do any comparison about the quality of the Polar solvent in an LSA extraction. Do you know anything more polar than alcohol that's safe? I know someone who has done what appeared to be just a cold water extraction and under a UV light it was very bright, so much that he couldn't see the handle to grab his jar. He watered it down some because he thought it would be too strong. I wonder how much better would it have worked with alcohol instead of water. Either way it could be put onto paper and since the good stuff is actually a solid, it won't evaporate. Hmmmm. I'm just curious how one might go about making the strongest possible lsa extract without going through too much trouble (as in, is it going to be worth it.).
