a few questions about the family :)

i jsut ran across the full moon family's website looking for different clothes and stickers and the like and it seems they are pretty much the same as the rainbow family so this stirred up a few questions.
Whats the difference between the Rainbow Family and the Full Moon Family? Does the full moon family have gatherings and stuff? Or is it all just "familly" and its all the same?
one thing that i never got answered in my other post a while back was about the real rainbows at the gatherings. Is there always a real rainbow that appears at the gatherings and such? The only reason i ask is because people kept tlaking about the sky at the dead show and this one guy is like you have never seen a sky like the one your going to see tonight, and he tole me to look up when the sun start going down. Well i eventually forgot and really didnt even know wtf he was talking about becasue i was tripping for my frist time but sure enough right before the sun set people started talking about "the rainbow" and i dont know if it was just me and my friend tripping too hard or what but we both were wondering the same thing. We couldent see the middle of the rainbow....it was like it was going directly above our heads.....like we were right under the rainbow....and it seemed as if there were more that one but im not sure....anyway it was diffinatly something ive never experienced before.
So my question was....is there always that kind of rainbow at the gatherings? if so, how? is there some kind of magic that the family has with the earth or whatever? And was the rainbow really above my head...cause i thought that was impossible.....it was jsut too wierd....but probably the best xperience of my life....tripping for the first time ever at my first dead concert with a huge beutiful rainbow right above me with hundreds of happy peaceful people all around....i felt like part of the family after that

Hey all! My name is Melissa, and I heard we were being talked about on this forum so I thought I'd chime in... I own Mountains of the Moon (fullmoonfamily.com). The Full Moon Family is my husband & myself, who own the business, along with our friends. We're not Rainbow Family (although we certainly respect them and have many friends who are!). "Full Moon Family" is just a nick name that was given to us on Dead tour. We're not a huge community or anything like that... Someone just called us (my husband & I) the "Full Moon Family" and it stuck . My husband and I own & run the business, and our friends help out from time to time. That's our story in a nut shell The Rainbow Family is a huge, national community of people, but we're just a small business run by some kind folks. "Forever Family, Forever Grateful"
