King Stropharia Cultivation

I got a syringe of this specimen, and want to make an addition to my garden this year.......could someone point me in the right direction as far as getting the mycelium of and running, before I transplant it to a wood chip bed outside?

Make some grain spawn like you would for any mushroom, then spawn that to some sawdust, in a bag or perhaps even a bin. I have had good luck growing this species from grain strait to untreated sawdust in a bin. Just hydrated the sawdust to optimal moisture and spawned.

This way I made a large 58q bin 3/4 full of sawdust w/ two 1/2gal jars of grain spawn. This bin could inoculate 2 small pickup truck loads of woodchips. Plenty!

I feel like I read somewhere that King straphoria grows well alongside Rhodedendrons in the garden, but that could have been a different species..
