Whole Brown Rice Preperation Tek!!

i need a good whole brown rice preperation tech. so that it wont be too wet and wont be too dry.
first experience: it was too dry when i followed the 9er tek (i think that was the tek)
second experience: it was way too wet, i cooked the rice following the direction on the bag to fully cook the rice and i rinsed it to tak eoff the sticky coat, after innoculation there was like a puddle of water from bottom to two inches up from the bottom.
Well back to the question, anyone gotta good preparation tek they use that's good for them?
