whole brown rice, anyone help?

followed the 9er tekk i believe it was, dont remember exactly, and the rice was a little too dry, but the mycelium ate i up to about 40% and then the substrate dried out, so then i decided to follow instructions on package and i guess all was well but then pot ran outta water for about 1-3 minutes and it started to burn on the bottom, but all was well not relaly burn i guess just starting to burn. well the point of my post is to ask if anyone has a good whole brown rice tek, or atleast one where they know wont start to burn due to lack of water or one that actually cooks the rice so that water is taken up in the rice. Thanks alot of reason this post and thanks for any help in advance.

soak the rice over night, strain then pressure cook to sterilize...

I`ve been using brown rice with great success.
Either you can cook a pot of rice just l;ike you normally would.
pack your bottles and sterilise.
I also mix in some vermiculite with the brown rice and so far no probs.
I also make some jars for experimentation, I put 1/4 cup of rice and about 1/2 cup water into the jar and sterilize.
Once you take it out and jars have cooled you`ll find the pre-prepared rice will have good water content and the once cooked in the sterilisation process is the same if not a bit stickier but still perfect.

All in all I`ve never had any contam. only lovely white mycelium.

Im using whole brown rice, and getting contams.
I clean the kitchen and bathroom (where i innoculate) with bleach.
I follow the brown rice recipies..
and I get contams
*sigh*
