Because the people at the Verizon store would just say, even if they see the error which they probably would since a lot of cellphone sales folk are fairly intelligent late HS/early college students, would say we can't do anything about it, you're going to have to call. I've had bill problems before (not to this extent and mine were easily solved) and that's what happened to me.

you know what else is funny, the verizon residential 800-555-xxxx REPAIR line only works from your verizon phone.
if you call it from a non verizon phone you get forwarded to directory assistance for unicel without propmt or explanation and get charged the DA fee weather you get a listing or not.

half the DA agents aren't even going to have a clue as to why you got them instead of verizon. They will rightfully assume you dialled "411" you'll give them your city, state, and name, and they will give you your own phone number. thank you, and connect you to your broken verizon phone.

sometimes youll get an experienced agent who knows whats happening, and they will forward you to verizon customer service, you still pay the charge to unicel tho.

also, if you DON'T know what state, or want an 800 number, call toll free 1-800-555-1212 no fee and you dont need to know the location like with standard DA.
