is this serious that i cant switch my verizon service to my dads old perfectly working samsung phone, which was originaly an at&t

yeah from my experience i've been able to take my sim card out of my phone and put it in any other phone with no problem.

Just switch the sims card, I hate Sprint for not having them, it would make shit so much easier when I wanted a new phone. :crankey:

yeah my carrier doesnt have sim cards either but my service is out of this world

If you have a Verizon phone you are shit out of luck trying to get an AT&T phone to work.

Why, might you ask?

Because the networks are different.

Verizon uses CDMA, which each device has a unique ID number specific for a network in this case Verizon.

AT&T Uses GSM, which allows a card to be put on to the network, and the device can be swapped in or out.
