Verizon broadband internet -- anybody?

Anybody use Verizon (or ATT or Sprint, for that matter) to get your broadband access? My parents have been stuck using dialup for years, and recently their rural-ish area has Verizon coverage. They won't be using it to download movies or games.... pretty much web browsing, emailing, and getting photos from me and my sister.

cable or DSL are not options, as they live in the country outside a farm town in the midwest and neither services are extended that far.
