HOLY SHIT IS IT INSANELY FAST.

I was on AIM sharing files with someone who has it,I shit you not the files she sent were coming at me between 300-400 kb/s :rockon:

When I would send with my cable it would only go as far as 50-100 kb/s though :shrug:

Very nice,I'm going to research it.

Comcast around here smokes my dsl must be where you at from what I understand the whole neighborhood shares cable but dsl is your own line so the neighbors can fuck with your downloads

How much you get d/l speed isn't neccessarily how fast you download at. Getting a file at 300-400K a second is pretty fucking fast.

I've got comcast cable.. I've gone back and forth in my life a few times between either comcast or roadrunner cable and verizon dsl.

DSL sucks my left nut in all cases.

I've also got one of those sprint broadband cards for my laptop that I pay 60 bucks a month for. It's not perfect, but most of the time it's pretty damn fast.

I max out my line with usenet at about 700k-750k

I get about 500kbytes/s downstream and about 60-80kbytes/s up.

Quoted values from your isp are in kilobits/s so you have to divide by 8 to get a [relatively] useful number..

I used a friend's computer with FiOs and it downloaded itunes at 1.1 megabytes/sec whereas my roadrunner cable only goes 700kbytes/sec

But I used to have verizon dsl and after a couple months it was horribly slow...

I use to have Earthlink High Speed, that shit was FAST. On a slow day I would download at about 3.5 Megs per second.

Tho I now have Road Runner and it is retard slow. Lucky to download at 150kbytes/sec
