invitro pinning and spawning/casing
    #649563 - 05/28/02 10:57 AM (22 years, 10 months ago)

ok...i have two quart jars of birdseed colonized with b+. went camping this weekend and came back to find a lot of invitro pinning, actually developing fruitbodies because they are no longer pins, anyways, i usually spawn dung with my birdseed but i am afraid to because i don't want any mushroom matter that has already developed to rot and contaminate. what do i do? should i just case, or is is safe to spawn?

i must do something 2nite!
thanx!

IMHO I'd say pick off the fruit bodies before you spawn or case. They'll probably rot doing either.
