BTW; I REALLY love this new look, and that I can get the "img" tags in quick reply...

I got to ask for a field to save URLs and shit in too, but I realize that that is kind of a ludicrous suggestion..

I still use the old firefox 1.0.7 ... I just can't stand how they made the Bookmarks be so huge... I like, no in fact I LOVE simplicity..

I used the html code for that symbol. I don't know(can't find it anymore) what code I used for that symbol, but it works like this:

♠ = &*#9824
♣ = &*#9827
§ = &*#167

(remove the * and the symbol will appear instead of the code)

Any way that if you have text highlighted and click the bold button, it will put it in bold? Right now it just drops an empty tag at the bottom.

I'm glad you think so, cause holy crap did I try just about everything to spruce it up. PNGs with alpha transparency, separate stylesheets for each BB theme, dynamically generated button images... I'd get it set up all great, only to change stylesheets or browsers and realize it looked like barbecued ass with a side of ass chowder. So in the end I stuck with the simple, generic solution which appears the same for everyone. And like you said, I think for its intended purpose it works fine. But I really did try to be responsive to feedback on this one!

Gomp the problem was with the Halloween stylesheet, but it should be fixed now. Thanks for the report and let me know if you have any more issues.

Damn! Stupid IE. Worked fine in testing and, of course, immediately broke once the script went live. It should be fixed, you may need to shift-reload to get a new copy of the Javascript. Please let me know if you notice any more problems.

And here is one more;

When I click the URL button, the page jumps to the top of the page.

Very annoying when quick-replying in a long thread, got to press the button, and then scroll all the way back down again.

I also wonder how one can make URL's, and then have them appear with a line of text, instead of the pure URL.

BTW: "img" "flash" and "chat" bottons does the same thing.

I just found that if I "highlight a word" to say bold it.
Nothing happens.. The high-lighting just "blinks", when I hit the button.

Same with italic and underlined.
Same with all of the buttons, in fact.  :confused:

Sorry, this one I can't reproduce. Make sure you have the current Javascript by shift-reloading. If it still doesn't work could you give me your browser version and any output from the error console? Thanks!

It is a real strange error...

If I type 'this' word, and "mark" it, then press any of the buttons, then the "marking" goes away. And just come back again when i relaese the button.

I use the Firefox 1.0.7 (I can't stand the huge bookmarks in the newer version[s].)

And yes, I am not sure how to do so though...

BTW: The quick reply in the Journal is still fubared.

Okay, I tested with Firefox 1.0.7 and I think both problems should be fixed. Please let me know if you still encounter errors though.

If you quote this post, and look at it, you see the ":)" Emoticon that I wrapped in colourtags, that should be red, that at least to me, appear "no-colored".

I shall test some more colors though.
