Re: Get to know Freak Q :) [Re: FreakQlibrium]

I quite like 10,000 Days. However, it may be a year or so before it reaches the same level as their old albums (for me personally). At least I don't hate it, so I'm relieved about that. They're actually playing a show here at our annual Big Day Out festival, but I'm not going. Seen them twice, and Big Day Out festivals tend to have appalling sound. When I saw Metallica at that festival, my first thought was "TURN THE FUCKING SOUND UP! THIS IS PISS WEAK!" So I will wait patiently until they come back and do a headline, indoor show.
Glad you are mostly OK. Nothing sucks worse than your body falling apart on you.
I'm alright, surviving. Tired all the time, but hey, what can you do really? Besides sleeping, working, growing a beard for a while (I may have to dig out the pictures later), then shaving the beard off, going to lots of concerts (this year so far, I'll be seeing Roger Waters, Suffocation, Isis, Slayer and Mastodon, Lamb of God, Weird Al Yankovic and The Mars Volta), and keeping my diet of drugs up - not much is new really. Attempting to make the change from my office jock job to an outdoor job doing horticulture (in a nusery probably) and visiting Slothie in March for 4 weeks.
Already it's a busy and exciting year

Well you've definately come a long ways from that gig you had at uncle Ronnie's(Sick Donalds)You do see you share of concerts :yesnod: Funny thing is the only woman on the planet that even mildly appeals to me as a love interest lives in Sydney on the same continent as you....

Hahaha, yeah. McDicks was a very fleeting transition phase which scared me into taking the extra effort to find something halfway decent.
That's the way the world works these days! The women around where you live act like you don't exist but the ones that do care will live miles away. You may as well take a trip to Sydney - Australia is a nice place, even if it's far too farking hot and full of oversized bugs and beasts (and Australian people...  ). You may even get the ironic treatment from Sydney folk (Siiidkneee folk) when they get you to say normal words (which the typical Siiidknee accent makes sound hysterical) and then say "OMG that sounds so funny!" Thankfully not every gal and bloke in Sydney has the horrific accent.

Mind you, I hope you were joking about Sydney being on the same continent as NZ! Sydney is in Australia, their continent. I live in NZ, which is just an oversized island - 3 hours by flight to the east/southeast.

Geography never was one of my strong suits and as such it falls in with practically everything else  This girl(and i hope to fuck she's not reading this) has a definite OZ accent, it would be better if i could have her come and visit while she's currently single, this chick is a diamond in the rough man believe me........but as long as her and i can be friends at a distance it's all good you know?

What vinyls do you have?

I'm getting into some old music still (mostly mid 60's psychedelica) and since I associate vinyls with old...

Everything basically and i know you'll hate that answer, list some specifics of thing you'd like to have and when my friend gets his tape player hooked up to his turntable i'll make you a copy of whatever you want.......my vinyls go generally from the mid to L8 60's to 1990 with the heaviest influence being the 70's

It's going Gr8 man, thanks for asking  I know a lot of people look down on vinyl because of it's analogue sound as opposed to digital but to me it's all good.......... :yesnod:

Nice.  Very nice.  10 years after is quite impressive.  My father has seen frampton live in the 70's also.  He said one of the most fun concerts he's been to was Ted Nugent (Wang Dang Sweet Poon Tang - Live...need I say more? )

My dad has passed on a lot of music for me.  He's always supported me having good stereo systems when I was much younger, setting me up with record players, passing down his tape and vinyl collection.

In my opinion, nothing beats music from the late 60's-early 80's.  Nothing.  So much soul.

I was too fucked up on PCP, weed and 5 star whiskey to remember much of the 10 year's after set, my friends literally had to lift me up by the arms and carry me out  I never really had a good stereo system when i was younger, i used to just splice some wires coming out of my turntable and run it through 2 guitar amps

I think they made a movie out of it but i was there for the 2nd day of that transcontinetal festival in 1970 and got to see bands like Traffic, Mountain, 10 years after and Janis Joplin just B4 she OD'd, it was also the first time i got high off weed
