My Mycelium!

The mycelium in jars look wet, only in some areas.Some jars were innoculated in 4 holes and some only in 2 because of fluid available. One that was in 4 holes germinated only in 3 places, could the last one be a contamanated area? Also jars in the incubator smell on the ouside a little. The newer jars dont smell like anything but my innoced jars do.Still everything is all white, but what about if its some kind of contam that is white?
Man I hope this is going to be easier than people say sometimes.Id be thankful for any feedback.

The spot were it didnt germinate dont mean they are contams. Ive seen this happen before.

If it smells funny, you might got a contam or bacterail contam which is hard to see. The only contam which I have noticed that actually looks like mycelium is cobweb. But, its much more whispy and you can pretty much tell the difference within a few hours. Its more greyish as well.

Sometimes my jars smell funny but its mostly the water on the bottom collected in the cooler that gets a little stale.

I was wondering, what grade of Verm did you use? (guessing that you did the pf tek) Sometimes a finer grade will be too thickly matted for the mycelium to break thru it. Anyone else get that?

I dont really know how to explain the smell...its not gross smelling or anything. For a while I put rubbing alchohol into water that is heated, and made everything in the cooler reek of alchohol when opened.I stopped that for a while and now just the jar lids smell, they dont make the inc. smell i open the lid every 2-3 days to check on them. the incubator I have is sealed and has a very high Rh 90 sometimes but jars are sealed with tape so I think Im all good.
