9er tek .. jars smell funny

ok i just did the 9er tek 3 days ago and i put 2 cc of Lipa Yai in them i have yet to see any thing growing i know it has not been long but i smelled a few of them just to see if anything was wrong and they smell funny not like there is some thing worng just not good i see no contams any where in them. does this tek just smell funny cause they whole rice or did i do some thing worng?

I've never done the tek but I dont think they should smell like anything like rice or mushroomery.

2 cc of lipa spores? for how much substrate? my wookie friend has tried once this tek and some had funky bacteria smell, others remained still for a LOT of days, till they be discarded. i think they must be innoculated with a rather _dense_ inoculum... preferrably mycelium, already, instead of spores i think... gotta give it another try, seems to be a good tek...

yes i used spores the tek says you can use spores damn i hope this works and i didnt wast the time and money
