microsoft got me

I installed an illegal copy of sp2 and they found out lol dammit! its a mission just to get a browser to work! anyone know how to bypass this crap!? I swear i turned off automatic updates...i thought that would do it.

Install Windows 2000; no serial number check-back so you'll get all the updates as they come out.

Also, 2000 is stable and fast with a smaller memory footprint than XP and 2003, it does (almost) everything XP and 2003 do, and it's been around a while so it's well debugged and supported.

SHIT,i spoke too soon.My sytem is still in the craphole...it keeps on rebooting this time.I need to start fresh with ALL files...GAH! mines really corrupted even after installing a fresh copy of xp pro sp2! what can I do?

I used a pirated version of XP until I found that you can get an OEM license for $89. Like others have said, if all you want is a browser, just use linux.
