Taping Innoc. Holes Shut during Sterilization

Ok, wrapping foil around and doing a rubber band to keep water and moisture out of the sterilizing jar process (boiling method) isn't optimal. One tech says I can tape the holes shut with really good tape and the other says just use foil.

Is it ok to boil the jars and have some industrial grade duct tape over the holes in addition to the foil? This would eliminate my moisture problem I'm sure.

The problem with that is that once you take off the tape,the jars suck in air.Best to use foil and let them cool in the PC.

in my opinion use electrical tape over the holes in lid then p/c
thats what i use and and after they stril and cooled i dont pull back the tape i just take an alcohol pad and steril the top and sides then after you stril the needle just pukture through the tape and replace with another piece after removing the needle
it works great for me with no contams ive never used foil at all no complants here with this method
