Global Warming here in the north east..
    #6431437 -

I live in the northeast and I've noticed the past 3 winters including the beginning of this one, the winters have been very light.. I have lived here my whole life and we used to always have snow on the ground about 1-2 weeks before Christmas.. Another thing is the temperature is very warm reaching almost 60 degrees on some days and not dropping below 40 much at all.. and usually staying in the upper 30's at night..

I watched a documentary by Al Gore called "An inconvenient truth" And He really had some interesting facts.. Also a scientist named John lovelock release a video and a few articles about global dimming and global warming.. Both Al Glore and Jon lovelock both say that within the next the bottom half of the US maybe completely unlivable.. Florida will be under water and so will Manhattan and London.. Iceland is melting very fast and sea levels are raising..

The temp right now is 55 degress and the average for today is supposed to be 31... And I guess the low for today is only supposed to be 36 degress..

Global warming is happening faster the we thought... Scientists have been trying to prove this to people for many years.. unfourtantly it is to late, we can try to make changes now but it won't matter.. Population is increasing so fast that it almost doubles by 2050 (in the world) This means much more pollution..

In our lives we will see changes but our children might have to buy relastate in Canada..

that movie should be called "half truths and facts left out conveniently"

there is so much more to it then what he talks about. and the models he used are known to be tweaked within the scientific community. and are not available to other scientists to evaluate.

even within historic times it has been just as warm and many crazy weather things have happened. not to mention what happened prehistory which was even more drastic. 10 plagues is one that was caused by weather change.

whether or not the heating is caused by anthropogenic sources is impossible to prove. I am not saying pollution is good because im the first one to walk instead of drive but you need to know the facts before making your own opinion..

i will remind you we are comming out of a ice age and warming is the trend for awhile now. also in teh 1950s it was cold and they thought a new ice age was comming.

They say 60% chance this winter will beat last winter as the warmest winter since they started keeping records. It's never mild 3 years in a row something really serious is happening.

just because its been warm 3 years in a row doesnt mean shit. what about the dirty thirtys, what about the india famines and other famines caused by heat ??? what do you think caused the french revolution. weather and riots because of teh lack of food. and by definition climate change is a average over 30 years. i promise there will be a a few cold winters in a row.

i heard taht movie by al gore was pretty good.

all i know, is that i live in cleveland... and we ALWAYS have snow, this is the first year that i can remember, (im 24) that we have not had any snow.

there were only 2 days this year, before thanksgiving where we had snow fall and stick. it was only a few inches and was gone in a few days... there is still alot of "winter" left, but this is very very odd none the least.

everyone i talk to in town is just as baffled about this as i am as cleveland is a major city in the snow belt.

This is the problem know one wants to accept that global warming is happening.. There are TONS of facts that say this is happening now..

i dont think anyone can deny that there is a slight warming trend in teh past few decades. but its jsut teh cause of teh warming that is under debate.

i cosign that the movie is mostly BS, but I also have to admit that "global warming" is certainly here, and it came quick.

The real test is this summer.

yes, global warming is real. and there are those who say that there isnt enough data to conclude what is the cause of the warming - either human activity or some sort of earth cycle. Well, they are perhaps correct, however, I would rather err on the side of caution and point my finger at human activity.
