Question for AZ residents

So I'm thinking about heading out to Arizona at some point this coming year, perhaps for the AZ gathering. There is a resort in Scottsdale AZ called the Camel Back Resort by Marriott where I could stay for completely free if I want, so obviously I'd like to do that, but I want to meet shroomerites so...

how far/long a drive is it between Scottsdale and Phoenix?
