Well, making it show up in every forum would be a bit much, let's see how the poll goes for a while, then perhaps move it to WA&F to see what the admins think of it.

I think the idea is good, but I don't think it will happen, creating a forum is a lot of work, the idea needs to show it has support among the members.

I think I read somewhere that everything that is said on the internet is meant to be taken absolutely seriously and that all forms of sarcasm are meant to be viewed as personal attacks.

I'd like to see a fucking forum where idiots can't post pictures of shit, but you can still conversate or flame freely.

Like somewhere where normal people can go post, and still have the freedom of speech part. :shrug:

Call it OTD lite or whatever...

This would fix everything if they'd only do it, but I'm sure they won't.

I agree with this. I would rather not stare at pictures or men fucking each other, especially not with excrement involved. Also the child porn and bestiality...  :rolleyes:

No offense, but as a good American this idea absolutely repulses me. You're on the internet. Let people say negative comments at your handle. It'll do you good in the long run, you've gotta practice at dealing with life's negativity.

Also, like Wiccan pointed out, i'd be worried about an alternate pub's effect on the OG pub. The Pub is already as no-haters as it needs to be.

This forum is always evolving. Right now, the pub has been becoming less "hippie". I'm fine with that. You just need to learn not to let flames bother you. I think some of the rules are so childish in here for an adult forum. I've got a warning once because I said "asshole" in a joking manner.

But then you have the real assholes who find humor in pushing "freedom" to its very limits. Thats when you get the bad part of OTD. They find humor in being mean and posting pics that would disturb someone who's not used to them. Hey, being a prick can be funny.. but some of these guys just get old as fuck and they have NO idea how to commune in a normal manner to people in other parts of the forum.

I really don't think we need a new forum to further divide the community. This OTD vs. PUB rival seems to be ending as they merge into the same thing. I think the best way to deal with this is to give more freedom in the pub. Let people flame if they want. Users need to learn not to be children and be able to take some harsh words and ignore it. Anyhow, thats my opinion on the matter.
