Come on now, you're right in many ways but he's suggesting a special interest (sub)forum with a less harsh social enviroment. Considering we have OTD on the one extreme, its not at all unreasonable to consider creating a polar opposite extreme with the Pub, as "the real world", lying in the middle.

Even if someone can deal with strife that's no reason to make strife obligatory.
The Phil/Myst split worked like a charm.

I disagree. A "Pub Lite" would require certain rules and attitudes towards rule enforcement which are no good for the Pub itself. If it is to happen, it really should be a separate place sailing under its own flag.

Like I said, we don't need a tighter version of the Pub, we need a tighter version of OTD.

The Pub is already supposed to be all good vibes and whatnot. What we need is a place like OTD where you're free to speak without fear of a ban, yet leave out all of the bullshit imagery.

And I'm saying in addition to OTD, leave the original OTD the hell alone, but add another OTD lite as a subforum.

The Shroomery forums have pretty much turned into total anarchy. You guys can pretty much say anything you want to anyone no matter how bad it offends them and not even get a little slap on the wrist. I'm thinking about giving up this whole shroomery thing. There's just no respect to be found here anymore.
