Poop can be used for substrate and mixed in as a casing additive correct?

For most cube species we run bulk poo with out an extra casing layer sides tbe poo works fine ,yes ppo makes fine substrate as well .MEW

Yes but its not advisable. Better chance of contams. Just use 50/50 verm and coir. This works fantastic.
