First grow success!
    #6345374 -

My first attempt at growing seems to be a success. My Elm Oyster started to pin today! I have blocks of Lion’s Mane and Reishi, which are looking good. These grows are from dowel rods inoculated on Millet then spawned to sawdust. I want to thank Semilanceata and RogerRabbit for the advice along the way.

Necessity being the mother of all invention, I apparently invented a new fruiting Tec along the way. The method is very simple and requires little explanation.

The colonized block is placed on a clean dish. The dish is covered by a clear trash bag and inflated by a tube running to an aquarium pump. The bag is tied shut using a twist tie. I used some ploy fill over the intake on the pump for filtration. A small hole (about 1/16”) is added for ventilation. I added a slightly high lager hole that I spray water in once or twice a day. The larger hole is covered with a paper clip when not in use. Not the best fruiting chamber, but good and damn easy. I do apologize if I am not the first to post this technique. It seems that someone should have thought of it before. Until I know otherwise, I’ll take all the credit.

Congratulation!

The idea of the acquarium pump is really cool.

You could also link the tube of the airpump into a wet spoonge. This, i imagine, can provide to a correct umidification of the bag, so you can also do not mist into the bag.

This is really a geniuos idea. I appreciate this tek, really cheap and  functional.

This is mushroom design!

:sun: Fabio :sun:

ps. how much liters of air can transport your pump per hour? how much you turn on it and for how long?
