need ID- found hunting in field

I found these suckers on some cow patties in a field by a stream in northeast missouri. no bluing, but they almost have a bluish tint, more of a grey tint really. maybe its just wishful thinking, but I'd like to see if anybody can help me out here. some of them are more of a caramel color and some a little more cinnamon. the ones i got yesterday are black now, so I'm assuming that the spore print is black. any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks in advance

Did you walk on them and throw them around or something?

I have no idea what those are, but, im sure someone will be able to answer your question. They dont look active to me, but Im still learning...

one or two look like cubes but i can't really tell becuase the shrooms are in bad condition and i cannot see the gills/stem clearly. The ones I am talking about are the ones in the top left on your first pic in that post. There is a cluster of two, and another single. Looks like some brusing on the cap of that single one as well...

the 2 in the top left of the first pic kinda look like cube caps i dunno tho.

yah the stems look a bit off to me. Really brown on the one, black on the two together...It might just be the pic quality or the mushroom's condition causes this though...

It could be Panaeolus Microsporus, the specie is mildly active.

It makes me wonder becuase I see a blotch of bluing on one of them but the stems look nothing like cube stems...

Sorry, I don't know what they are and just had a compulsion to make a smart ass comment . There are a couple that look like ones I've picked up, the panouleus microsporus (sp?) ones. I haven't biassayed them, and they don't seem to turn blue. Black spore prints on mine, how about yours?

(great sceenname by the way)

It looks to me like you have a mixed collection of mushrooms.

In the first picture,
The two mushrooms in the top left corner are the odd ones out.
Those mushrooms are nothing of interest and should be tossed away.

There is definately Not any Psilocybe Cubensis in your collection.

The rest of your mushrooms are a type of Panaeolus.

All Panaeolus mushrooms render a Black spore deposit.

I think that you found Panaeolus acuminatus.
Panaeolus acuminatus has also been confused with another mushroom called Panaeolus rickenii.

Neither mushrooms are known to contain any psilocybin or psilocin.

Not active.
