Snow? Oh No!

Well I just woke up for an early morning final pick of the season to see if I can actually get some liberty caps that work...and what do I see? 0.5-1'' of snow on the gorund!

I'm hopinh this snow hasn't killed them.... but even if it hasn't it's going to make finding them a lot more difficult... and cold.

Oh well, I'm off to try it out, wish me luck!

bah! Useless that was. digging around in grass layered with a few inches of snow for something that small...

Oh well, the snow is melthing now though so maybe I'll go back later today. Do you guys think that they're still alive...? I'm sure hope they are.

they're probably laying over,doubt if they are still alive but what was there is freshly refrigerated.

well i just got back from my spot and they are still growing despite the freezing temperatures and frost :tongue:

not had any snow yet though.

but if they survived the snowfall intact, i guess they would be well preserved :hehehe:

Oh great, so I'm looking for brown puddles of mush now...? Fan-frickin-tastick!

But perhaps they are preserved. When it was frosty they were all preserved prefectly and all I had to do was snap them off.

Ok, well time for hunt #2 of the day. The snow is all melted around here so hopefully it's the same for the field. It's gonna be one wet day though.

Do you live next door to me or something hoopershroomer...? Because there is snow!

Anyway, sucess! sort of... I tried a different area a found 18 nice looking liberty caps (look more text-book like and healthy than the other ones I'd found) and then went back to the old spot and found another 17 until it got too cold and wet and snow/rainy for my liking. So a total of 35 all together.

These ones look pretty solid
