yeah you can eat mycilium but yeah i shouldnt of. but i did eat they mycilum. any who i didnt rip out the whole mycilium. um used to picking amanita. Btw i doubt ripping that bit of mycilium completly killed the mycilium in the tree. i was wondering how many times will it grow back from that spot NJ doesnt really get that cold and if gyms are as versitile as i think it will survive more then a year probally until that tree dies.

probably sporadicaly for up to a few years, depending on the condition of the wood source they're growing from.

any tree a Gymnopilus is growing from is on it's last leg but they will grow from the dead wood for some time.

yeah but this tree was still pretty healthy tho a there was a big branch from it on the ground no gyms coming off the branch it rained hard 2 days ago so im gona check that place out this week and next week im also going on a PA hike. i love gyms now they were better then anything else i had very much like my first trip with psilocybe tampanensis but way more intense. maybe its just cause they were fresh i dunno but i love it.

aw man i went back to the tree and it has 3 other types of mushrooms growing from it 2 from the sides and one the inside that tree is fcked lol doesnt have many more years in it infact the tree was so unhleathy it made me feel like whiteing out.
