WTF are worldwide educational centres doing with my IP??

I set up Peerguardian recently and every few minutes it blocks some Educational Establishment. EG Istanbul Technical University, Uni of Central Arkansas, South Florida, Barcelona Unis etc.

I find this very confusing. Can anyone explain whats going on??

If you're using p2p software, you're probably getting packets from other p2p users who are located at those addresses. You can probably turn off the education blocklist and not have much to worry about.

Of course, it could just mean that they are after you, angry college professors looking to haXXor your comp for valued intel.

I've heard about this. College students are hacking into computers and stealing their megahurtz and ram. If you notice some of your megahurtz missing be aware.
