Do you obsessively reread your posts?
    #6189299 -

I do.  Like, I reread something I've written anywhere from 4-9 times. I don't know why, but I get a kick out of it...I guess because when I'm typing/saying things, I don't exactly realize that *I'm* saying it, and when it's out and I go back and read it's kinda like another person wrote it.

I have to admit I find myself fascinating.

I just click on threads I've posted in when there's a new post.  Yes, you are OCD.  Now the healing begins.

I think it has to do with my word attraction...

I know they're only symbols, but...there's something about them that really stimulate the pleasure center in my brain. So to read my own words...well, it's like mental masturbation.

I read mine over a lot, but it depends on how much effort I put into it.

I didn't even read over this one once, for example

I've already read my first post in this thread three times that I know of. I'm determined not to do it again.

If you think THATS interesting.
Go back and re-read your posts from 2-3 years ago.
It's a trip.

It's not easy sometimes... I usually make the bigger ones in the mycology section. I always had an obsessive personality though.

I've gone back to threads I made 2+ years ago before and read them again for something to do

I tend to add on to posts a lot too. Like this one, I entered it, thought of something else and edited it in. Sometimes I edit/change the wording of posts like 3 or 4 times lol.

yeah.. I do that sometimes. And I seem to do a fake laugh whenever I write something remotely funny including every time I reread it. I guess its a way of experiencing the post again so you can see where everyones (who's responding) is coming from.

That's a good way of putting it. When I reread a post, I imagine that I'm someone else reading my post and fantasize about what I'm really trying to say.

The way your words turn me on, may be like one thousand clinking gold coins into the hands of a merchant, exchanging life and death.

To this:
I add a sincere " Aye ", when I say that I can gladly take your hand, or that of nobel lass with honor, and share with her the secret of our touches, in the deepest embraces.

I don't think that there is really anything wrong with it.

It doesn't bother me that I do it.

It's the precious time I waste doing it that bugs me. I mean, life is short. I don't have time to keep rereading stuff that *I* have written...I should be in constant persuit of the New. I keep attempting to go back to a previous moment in time, to have a repeat experience, instead of leaving my mark gracefully without a backwards glance.

Will I be lying on my deathbed, gasping for breath and aching for a few more seconds of life, and remember all the time I wasted jerking off in my brain to my own ego?

Yes, rereading my posts multiple times is harmless...or is it?

You could just stuff a flimsy ink cartridge up your vag and dream of all those words spinning off up inside you.
