Trip report= Hemp Fest in Seattle

Hey!
So a few weeks ago I was at the rainbow gathering outside of Seattle and a bunch of family took a break from the woods and went to Babylon for Hempfest.
It was a really awesome and stony experience let me tell you! Over 200,000 people smoking ganja listening to really groovy tunes by the seaside, was great! At 4:20 by the seeley stage when they threw out the trim joints to the crowd, me and a few family passed out 125 kali-mist joints to go along with the trim. The smoke was so thick you couldn't see 20 feet from your face! Oh that was fun.
Anyway I wanted to share a really special trip I had.
I had just got done making a DOSE ME sign when I hear from the crowd... "HEY that guys got a sign that says DOSE ME!"
From the other side of the crowd I hear "what? where? I got DOSES!"
I stand up and hold the sign over my head and see the coolest looking rasta heading my way..
( whoever you were brother you sure rocked my world)
He tells me to close my eyes and stick out my tongue, and being the crazy hippie I am of course I complied.
Well I was in for a shock. He puddles me with a vial, then as I start to open my eyes he says " oh, I'm not done yet my little brother" and proceeds to stick a fairly large mushroom in my mouth.
I really don't like to mix at this stage of things but, I figured, hey I been eating alot of shrooms and dosing every week since string cheese incident at red rocks and the Colorado national gathering, I must have a huge tolerance. So fuck it I chew the mighty mushroom and smile!
As he leaves he tells me to be careful what I ask for and laughs, and I swear to this day it sounded like the devil himself.
Not even 20 minutes in I start to feel more than good.
By 45 minutes I am starting to loose it.
90 minutes into it I find myself donating 20 dollars so I can get up on the stage and beat my drum for about 5 minutes. (any of you there?)
About 2 hours into it I loose all touch with reality and grab my hippie mama and start screaming at her that the dready feddies are after me.... he is right over there, and there...and that guy too! She goes for help and I wander out of the hempfest grounds and into Seattle, without my pack, my shoes or my shirt. All I have is my drum and a crap load of weed. I make it downtown and setup camp near the park and start to beat that drum like a red headed gnome. ( they are out there ya know, everywhere)
Not 30 minutes into it LEO shows up and tells me to move along, well being the dumb ass I am I asked if he wanted to get high cause he seemed really negative and out of touch with his green side... He laughs and tells e I really need to get back to hempfest and is NICE enough to drive me back to the gates. Now that is a cool cop. I LOVE YOU MYSTERY OFFICER!
My friends find me shortly after trying to convince a stranger that his dog was trying to tell him he was really his long lost wife.
Go figure.
At this point I really start to peak and basically black out till the next morning, and I really am trying to forget the things my friends said I did.

could someone fill me in on this hemp fest thing really quick?

is this a once a year thing where cops leave people alone even if they are carrying truckloads of MJ?

I'm pretty sure that's the most crazily intense thing I've ever read in my life. if i ever run across the mystery cop or the sweet rasta dude, i will give them a big hug for you!

There were so many people this year! It was a gated festival so you had to stand in this huge mob of people moving through the "in" fence. Once you get in, your in. The cops just stayed outside the gates fairly far away from the festivities.

I'm sure it's possible to get busted at Hempfest but not when your sitting in the middle of 20,000+ stoned people. I bet they had undercovers goin around but my guess would be they would only scope out big busts. I mean BIG busts.

I was on mushies at Hempfest this year to!! It was amazing!!
