Do women always get cold while tripping?

So it's been almost a year since the last time I tripped, and after waiting for over a month for a decent drenching in Houston it finally happened. I spent several days in H-town, but only managed to collect about 12 dry grams of Copes. Still, this is a lot more than I've had in a long time so I'm pretty stoked.

Earlier today I was trying to convince my wife to skip a class of hers tonight and trip with me instead. Thankfully it didn't even come to that since her prof cancelled the class and emailed her. Talk about the universe giving you a green light!

We both ate a little over 2 grams each. I chopped mine up really fine and gulped it down with some fruit punch to minimize flavor and texture. She went for a bread and shroom sandwhich.

The first hour we sat around watching A Scanner Darkly. She kept on complaining about being cold, even after I got her some socks and she put on a long sleaved shirt. Once we started tripping we went for a walk (about 5 pm) and checked out some of the landscaping in our apartment complex. Nice little waterfall, ripples on the pool, etc. She seemed to be really uncomfortable outside so we went back in. Once inside she was back to feeling really cold. We cuddled some (only to conserve body heat of course...) and because I figured she just needed some time to relax I put on the TV.

Normally I'm anti TV while tripping, and normally I'm anti-"Everyone Loves Raymond" while sober, but oddly enough I got totally into this episode. It basically dealt with Ray feeling uncool and having a hard time dealing with his high-school reunion. The surface level writing was bad as always, but the emotional tensions underlying the script really resonated with me. Yeah, I must have been tripping because I was reading way into a fucking sitcom.

Afterwards we chatted for awhile, laughed a lot about goofy little things, and even made time for our maritals. A good time was had by all. We're both looking to eat about double the next time, as the visuals were fairly minor this whole time. She's also never really done a strongish dose before (of anything), so she's getting curious.

The one thing that really seems to keep her from enjoying herself more though is always feeling cold. We've had this problem rolling before too, but it just seemed especially obnoxious today since I was wearing shorts and a t-shirt the whole time. Anyone have any suggestions besides turn the heat up or wear more clothes?

Women are always cold period. Especially their hands and feet. They're cold blooded or cold hearted or something.

Feeling cold while tripping is not gender related. Everyone I've ever taken high doses of shrooms with report that they become cool.

If you're HOT or warm while tripping, it can mean that you are fighting the effects. Whenever I start feeling warm on shrooms or LSD, I know that's a sign for me to lay down and relax, and let my ego go. I suppose the opposite could also be true, like if you obsess about feeling cold, it could also mean you are fighting the effects. If your girl feels cold and it makes her uncomfortable, I would recommend that she lay down and do some breathing exercises or energy work with her body. Let the cold go.....

For me, I like feeling cool on a trip. It means that I am letting go.

Make her put on snowpants--the overall kind. And moonboots and thick socks. And a sweater with a tutleneck underneath. Then she can have her dose. I'd be looking forward to a moonboots dance routine at the peak of the trip.

So it's a concensus then about ze cold blooded snake-women?

Moth: I thought mushrooms and LSD both raised your body temperature by up to a couple degrees. I know I get a lot hotter than normal while tripping, but it never really bothers me too much. I also only notice it on mild trips - once I really start tripping my ass off the last thing that I notice is a minor body sensation like that. Over sweating can be a hassle though.

That's interesting to think she could have been trying to fight off the tripping by focusing on something mundane, and ironically literal cold feet too. We'll have to talk about that possibility, but I'm kinda doubtful because she agreed with me towards the end that she'd have preferred to trip a fair amount harder. I'd rate my visuals at like a 5 out of 10. It was a solid level two trip, but next time I'm aiming for low 4 or peak 3.


edit: Gnubobo - what are these "moonboots" I hear about? Are those the shoes with springs that you can bounce in? Shit, if I could afford those I wouldn't fuck around with drugs man. Regardless, I look forward to any event where the peak involves her doing a dance number. Actually more often than not that's my job, with the liquid, glowsticks, and popping and all.

I've always sweated on shrooms...I really can't remember being hot though.

:shrug:  I don't know, I'm just speaking from personal experience.  I've never had my body temperature go up from tripping, unless I'm not going with the flow.  I dress warmly when I trip because I do always feel cool.

I think almost every guy (if not everyone) has worried about pissing him/herself because of excess sweating/moisture while tripping. Back in college there'd always come a point where me and my three or four tripping friends would look really uncomfortable and nervous, then finally someone would break the ice and be like "look, did I just piss myself" then we'd all laugh and make fun of how dumb we were being. We'd get to where we had to piss so bad, but we'd be worried about "exposing" our imaginary piss covered pants, so we'd sit there being uncomfortable for like an hour.

The excess moisture is one of the nice parts about tripping sex imo though. Gots to change the sheets though.

at first, im always really cold, but towards the end, when youre in your introspective part of the downwards slope, i start getting really hot. at times i get clammy, but not too often.
