Best movies of the year so far?

Going to rent a few movies (probably 4-6) and looking for some suggestions. There's a deal on '06 new releases, so I'll probably be focusing there, but feel free to suggest some oldies too if you want. :laugh: Any all suggestions are appreciated.

V for Vendetta was pretty enjoyable. I can't even think of any others that came out. Crash was good (but didn't it come out last year?).

I saw V For Vendetta in theatres, actually, but I completely forgot about it and now i gotta see it again. :thumbup: Thanks for the reminder.
As for Crash... I think that was actually mid-late 2004... or something like that, wasn't it? I'm almost positive it's not an 06'er, though, but I'll still keep an eye out for it... I heard it was good
And in regards to The Hills Have Eyes... completely forget what the storyline was supposed to be, anyone care to refresh my memory?

Man, I have no idea when Crash came out, but I only first heard of it when I got a job at the post house that did the editing for it (so...like 2-3 months ago).

IMDB is the craziest fucking site ever, and they say 2004, so let's go with them. Still, I heard it was good... a while ago, lol

Ha I'm sure there's lots of good movies out there I've never heard of.. .which is why I'm asking you guys :laugh:

I've seen the Matrixes, but I might check out House of the Flying Daggers, I've heard some good reviews.

Something related to that. Actually, we may have done the coloring, not the editing. Either way, we have this fancy award (not an Oscar) on my desk (I'm in reception).

Lucky Number Sleven...

It's kinda like Fight Club in the way that you have to watch it more than once before you can appreciate the story in it's entirety, but still an excellent movie the first time. IMO, this and V for Vendetta were the two best movies in 2006
