what online service are you using? also, what type of stuff are you into? more traditional Hollywood type movies? or are you more adventurous and seeking some more off-the-wall stuff you can't find at Blockbuster. just give me some direction please like genres you like, maybe some directors, countries if you are into any international stuff, whatever.

I'm using numerous online services and am  into anything realy so long as it's good apart from chick flicks and foreign movies with subtitles (hero & the ring were good though!)

hmmm, well, most of the movies I'm into are "foreign movies with subtitles" as I find them to be doing more interesting shit than Hollywood.

some lesser known or classic movies in English you may not have seen that you might like:

Equilibrium - http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0238380  great action, especially the introduction of the gun-kata style of fighting. Orwellian plot with several twists. I prefer it to The Matrix, especially the 2nd Matrix. haven't seen the 3rd..don't really care to see.

Super Troopers - http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0247745  judging by some of the ones you've listed you might like this kinda kooky comedy with drug elements. it's worth renting once.

Taxi Driver - http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0075314 classic film and classic DeNiro. great drama and one of the coolest crime movies of the 70's. if you haven't seen, you owe it to yourself.

Pi - http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0138704 from the director of Requiem for a Dream. it's different and somewhat difficult to watch. it'll get you geared for more independent movies that I will suggest at a later time once you kind of shed your movie-watching wings.

also, after seeing your list I definitely 2nd Cannibal the Musical. it's kooky stuff from the creators of South Park before they did that and released by Troma. you'll enjoy.

Damn good flick.

Kaiowas: Of course the book was better, but that is by far the best of the film adaptations.

Not a good flick to watch on heavy doses of dissociatives.

Just a warning.

was gonna recommend Apocalypse Now (redux) while on the subject of war movies. just beware not to watch while dosing. I assume that would _not_ be pleasant, as it freaks me out sober. difficult movie to watch but a classic for sure.

Recommending a million is the same as recommending none, IMO :smirk:
