Psilocybin and Rue quantities - help please?

Hello,

The mushrooms we have been growing have been giving us a pretty intense trip with about 1.5 to 2 grams dried and ingested orally. Am now thinking of experimenting with Syrian Rue as a complement. How do I roughly go about working out quantities of each, stilll keeping the level of the trip about the same?

Why would you want to use an MAOI when you get a nice enough trip on 1.5 - 2 grams. I don't know the weights, but I hear if they aren't measured correctly that it can be dangerous (MAOI's). If you want something stronger, just eat more shrooms.

Syrian Rue is a MAOI (monoamine oxidaise inhibitor), essentially an anti-depressent. You can read more about it on the shroomery How to Dose pages, or here

As to WHY I want to take them: they strengthen the trip you get from mushrooms so that you can lessen the quantity of shrooms you take - if they're in short supply for example. Also, it provides a slightly different kind of trip: experimentation is always good.

I had a dream that I took 4 g of grond rue into gel caps, 45 minutes before ingesting 4 to 5g shrooms, fallow the nesesary diet for maoi, the rue takes the eginess of the trip and for me makes it better and smother but strong.
I do it in a Nature enviorment were no one will bother me and I can feel safe.
Make sure you have a blanket and a place to lay down because you wont be able to move when you are at a high level.

Really, the rue relieves some of the anxiety? That would be good!

Did you write a trip report? Have you ever tried Caapi instead of rue?

No I haven't tried cappi, but the rue does it for me, I like the effect so much that from now on I always use it, for what I read rue is supposed to be easier on your body than cappi, and is more available.
But you have to do the diet if not you will get a lot of nausea, I eat a lot of papaya pills to help digest the shrooms and rue, big plus!

Hi everyone...

I've been reading up on Syrian Rue and bought an extract from The Basement Shaman after seeing this extract suggested by a fellow shroomerite.

The page says, "Our superior quality extract is made without the use of toxic solvents. Each gram of extract is equivalent to over four grams of whole seed... This extract is not intended for consumption."

My friend and I have 1.5 grams of shrooms each... Most posts I've read say 3 grams of Syrian Rue extract is good... I don't know if this stuff I got is more concentrated enough to only take 1 gram of it. Any suggestions??? Experience??? I don't want to be sick... And smoke it with MJ or drink it in a beverage???

I have ten grams of rue, but i don't know how long im supposed to follow the dietary restrictions before it is safe to ingest. can anyone help?

In my dreams I always fallow a 2-day diet, better safe than sorry, and never had any problems,
I use 4 g 45 minutes before shrooms

1-1.5 gram of rue will provide enough mao inibition to potentiate your mushroom trip. 3 grams and above is where you will notice the rue side of the trip (very calm and relaxed, lots of trails) if you take it 45mins before.
