its not nearly as bad as being raised by a bapist preacher's wife whose preacher husband left for her best friend whom he was counseling through a divorce...

It completely and totally blows being raised by a mother who believes the only reason her husband left, was because god was punishing her for not being a good enough baptist and a nanny with a psychology degree... It's means a tie everyday for 12 years, going to church related functions at least 15-20 hrs a week, being told why you're a failure, how to fix it and thats the way it is end of story.

there were no variables in my childhood only facts believed by my mother and nanny that they had written in stone.

I was raised by fundie Christians (like the ones you see on TV who convulse and scream) and was one myself until going to college and realizing the truth.

both my parents one is psychiatrist one is psychologist.

i have a good relationship with them, and because of my parents want to pursue a career in mental health.

An ex girl of mine's father is a psychologist. During the time i was going out with this girl i never really talked to him, the only thing i remember was at least 4 or 5 times we arrived at her parents house to find him just watching tv naked on the couch and sometimes his wife would be fully clothed nearby, and he never even moved or seemed to care when we walked through the door. It was kind of disturbing. And yes, im aware that this story has no point.
