Estimates on yields?

So i've grown before, pf tek, z-strain, 8 cakes but i never got a finishing weight (threw all of the cakes away during bad trip, so sad). I completely understand that cakes are more reliable as far and actually ending up with a final product, but what would your estimates be on total yeild from one syringe, pf tek style vs. mycobags to casing?

Hmmmm one syringe eh? The potential is almost limitless!!

But if you want some actual numbers lets say you could make A few quart jar sized LCs with the syringe then you could use those to knock up a few thousand Pf jars........or much better yet a bunch of mycobags with grain that could be spawned to horse poo.

Or you could just do multispore inoculation of the pf jars or make grain jars (my suggestion) and spawn them to horse poo or coir for a much larger yield.

Basically, the sky is the limit the kind of work your willing to put into it is gonna be the main variable.

yeah, because of LCs, one syringe could go a very very long way

At one point i tried LCs (4% honey solution), and every jar (PF) knoced up with it had extremely fast noticable growth, but none of it was rhizo mycellium, all ugly cottony, until it almost slowed to a halt. I also had a higher contam rate. Tried a little bit later, and all the same thing. Only this time i also did a couple jars MSG, and it was all rhizo mecellium ripping through the jars. I haven't tried LCs since. I should really try again, until i get it right. I hardly ever hear of anyone multi-sporin anymore.

yeah yields have nothing to do with how many syringes you have

i work with spore syringes maybe once every 6 months or so :smile:

i explained just yesterday a way to ballpark estimate what your yields might be, see here: http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Cat/0/Number/6061420

and LC's can produce plenty rhizomorphic growth:


with multispore its simply luck of the draw whether you shoot MS into a cake/grain jar, or start an LC with MS then shoot up with the resulting LC :thumbup:
