Anybody have any experiences to share or ideas on the best sites?

A couple people have told me the majority of women they have met online have been psycho.

Another friend went online and met someone and got herpes. Now she has told him in spite of her specific requests her gynocologist didn't test her for herpes during her last exam. My friend seems good with that and other than the sexual headaches, herpes and bleeding from the ears is doing fine.

I used to go to a church and we ended up at this ladies house and she was crazy nympho so me and my buddy tag teamed her at the end of the night. Forgot to mention that her father was the pastor and it was after the singles meeting one week at her fathers house when he was gone. Pretty funny.

Have only done the on line dating thing once. Nice chick, big tits but she was looking for someone making 6 or 7 figures a year.

Did a local radio phone dating for a month. Those bitch's were mental.

I'd rather just go to the mall and pick from there, but I guess I can see the online thing being convenient, but it still seems weird to have these people interact with your friends,

I had never tried "online dating" before, but when I broke up with my ex, I was single for a while, and hated the whole bar scene, so I made a profile on one of those dating sites, and was pretty skeptical.  I met my current boyfriend through there, and we've been together for almost 2  years.  It's a total toss up though...you can meet some psychos, or get lucky and meet someone really cool  :thumbup:

I kinda like it.  You can read about someone before you ever have to talk to them or meet them.  You can see their pictures, what they do for a living, interests, etc.  I think it's a much safer/efficient way to weed out those who you wouldn't want to hang out with, way better than bumping into someone out at a bar/party or whatever and not knowing the 1st thing about them :shrug:

Those relationships - the bar ones - hardly ever work out. In the past the only successful relationships I've had are with friends, which progressed to something more.

In her case, NO. I was laughing so hard at the "hole" thing I had to leave. Never did go back and it kind of killed the preacher's daughters thing. I think she is doing porn now with The Great Danes...

I'm thinking I may unfortunately have to resort to that crap as well.

I'm a hermit that works 3rd shift. I can't get out anywhere when people are awake, let alone I really don't want to walk out my door with all those people around. They fucking scare the shit out of me. To many of them, making to many different noises all at once. I also am not to good with speaking/following conversation, let alone with new people. I much prefer reading and typing.

I was in a 5 year relationship that chased off all but my 2 closest friends, and she tried damn hard to rid me of them.

I haven't been on a date in my life, never hit on a chick, never anything. The few people I've been with have came after me.
Not to mention me and the person I was in the 5 year relationship with, split up 1.5 years ago.

This is getting pretty fucking depressing.
On another side note alcohol, especially beer, smells like fucking shit, and so do ciggeretts.

lmao yeah, I work at a grocery, and I'd get home from work, and she'd want me to take her grocery shopping....

I'm like WTF don't YOU go grocery shopping, I just fucking left the damn place.

Eventually that got to the point of me seeing exactly how much overtime I can put in at work, and how much sleep I can get at home.
If I wasn't doing those, I was drinking cause she'd start threatening to call the cops over anything else...

Damn the things people put up with to stick things in dark holes...

Thanks for reminding me why I'm single and not activly seeking....

Man, I've tried online dating at more sites than I care to relate, and I know a bunch of people who have done the same, and the prevailing result seems to be that the girls who are looking for love online -- there's a DAMN good reason they aren't doing it out at the clubs, or anywhere else IRL... I'm sure someone can find a good fit that way, but the success rate is even lower (how???) than it is when mackin' in real life.

About 70% of my girlfriends to date were met online... and none of the good ones. You meet the good ones not at clubs, but in uncommon places... I've picked one up at the laundromat, as horribly cliched as it is, but it DID work, and the bookstore was a winning place to choose, as you're a lot more likely to find intellectual girls there.

I like the bookstore idea to meet intellectual women, although the approach needs to be something casual yet clever.

Maybe coffee shops/lunch places with the couches and chairs where people hang out for longer periods would be good. Share a couch or something...

Yeah, I tried coffeeshops for a while, but that really depends what you're looking for.  The people who are hanging out at coffeeshops with any sort of regularity are the people with too many social hangups to go out to the clubs, but they're cuttings from the same plant.  At least, that's how it was for me when I was doing more of that back in Ohio... just the same people you'd see at a club, but more screwed up :wink:

"More screwed up" doesn't sound good.

I'm getting too old at 53 to be hitting many clubs. Plus there really aren't good clubs where I live just the local drunks at the local tavern. If I go to the yuppy town people are image conscious and vain and I wear work clothes everywhere and don't like to shave. I would fit in better at the local tavern clothes and attitude wise but the women there are nasty with that alcohol and cigarette breath and that nasty forced laugh. The yuppy bars have people that think their shit doesn't stink when you know it does.
