This thread is dedicated to spreading Salvia Divinorum far and wide, using modern techniques. Please visit:
The Salvia Divinorum Live Plant Marketplace the thread where Salvia Divinorum cuttings are traded worldwide.
Inducing polyploidy : A Simple Guide salvia divinorum at some point in its past history sustained genetic damage, which rendered it virtually infertile. this ongoing project seeks to repair that genetic damage by applying kitchen biotechnology.
Leaf cuttings in-depth salvia divinorum has to be propagated via cuttings. this thread seeks to adapt the biotech technique of "micropropagation" to a kitchen table enviroment, so that the average grower may perhaps take 100 cuttings from a single leaf.
Use this thread for general discussion regarding mass-proliferation of salvia Divinorum.

thanks for your efforts on saving lady sally WS, ive been trying my hardest to educate local people in a smart sensible fashion. every kid around heres like "i hear it makes you trip balls!" and i feel like i should explain to them that its so much more, and i do. wether or not they look at me weird, at least i planted a seed and hopefuly they will grasp that knowledge.
I got one mother and 3 kiddies, and another 3 or 4 on the way. im doin the best i can over here in western america!
thanks for the links, heres some more for everyone else...
SageWisdom a site dedicated to researching and growing salvia divinorum
EDIT: i inclosed the file above instead of making a link, its the salvia growers guide for cuttings.

Only a few days ago I handed over a well-rooted cutting to my biologist uncle, harping on how it is an endangered species with native shamanic use etc.. His wife will take the growing from there, and they'll spread it in the old folks circuit of drug-naive plant fanciers

sounds great!
i live in a town that has the best botany department of their college in this state, i feel urged to rush a few specimens over to their gardens. your above post just gave me the idea, though im not sure how far its going to make it. at least someone else would have it and the ability to study it in a more scientificly professional manner than me in my room loading bongrips of fishfood, though theres not much difference between shamanism and science these days.

A botanical garden would love to take a few cuttings if its actually interested in their subject matter.
-endangered species -only lives in one small mexican region -doesnt propagate through seed -cultigen with historic medicinal use -prettylooking and low-risk plant

Look at http://www.richters.com/
DIVINERS SAGE [Order Related Book]
Salvia divinorum
Tender Perennial Uses: medicinal Sacred sage of the Mazateca Indians of Mexico used to induce divinatory visions. To help find lost items, or to solve problems of a material or spiritual nature, the Mazateca Indians would chew the fresh leaves. The leaves are very bitter when chewed but are slightly more palatable taken as a cold infusion of fresh crushed leaves, or smoked. Psychotropic effects similar to mescaline are attributed to compounds called salvinorins. Prefers humid, shaded conditions and humus-rich, moist soil. Rangy plant, reaching 2m/7ft. unless pruned.

Thought I'd post some pics of my salvia garden. The first year They will only be grown for cuttings, no leaf will be harvested. I'm hoping to have a forest of them before next x-mas.

 This is their new home:

Depends on your location, check out erowid's salvia vault and "law" http://www.erowid.org/plants/salvia/salvia_law.shtml Might be outdated, might not

Man...
I spent 100$+ on Salvia Cuttings last year. I ruined them all.
Id love to try again with a rooted and potted plant this year.
Anyone with a potted plant for a reasonable budget? Im only cultivating out of respect and admiration for the plant. Not commercial reasons.
