Is there any possible way you could implement a UBB code that would let the user put in a certain channel on the shroomery IRC server, when the link is clicked it pops up the java chat form and places them directly in the specific channel? Kind of like how the #Shroomery link under the pub works. Thanks in advance! :laugh:

using irc tags could be misused/exploited in some (albiet rare) cases (linking to an offsite server, where the user is then hit with various known exploits for mIRC for example).

I think this is the same reason html code isn't permitted in users posts/sigs.

No nothing like that. Just a tag that only allows the shroomery IRC javachat to open and put them in a certain channel, no offsite/server links. Basically I'd just like to be able to link directly to the #LNC channel on the Shroomery IRC server, so when the link is clicked they are placed directly in the #LNC room and don't have to dick around with anything. Is this already possible? It's not that big of a deal. Just wondering if it's feasible.

Exploits are something I didn't even consider, but very good points guys. :crazy:
