Hippyflipping changed my dietary habits
    #5961448 -

Just a couple weeks ago I took 3 grams of shrooms and 1 hit of ecstacy (yellow dolphin) and went to a Santana concert.  I tripped pretty hard off of both and can easily say it was one of the most satisfying and enjoyable experiences in my life.  At every show, Santana gives a 30 minute 'speech' on spirituality or on whatever.  I was totally in tune to what he was saying and every word meant a great deal to me.

After the show for some reason or another I satrted thinking about eating meat and whather or not I thought it was right.  After the show my friends and I all decided to go to a  diner.  They all ordered huge hamburgers and I jsut sat wathcing them eat.  I became incredibly nauseated from just looking at the hamburgers alone and got really strong negative vibes from the overall diner.

The next day after I had comedown the feeling did not go away.  I continued to eat meat for the next week or so, but every single time (and I really mean every single time) I would eat a meal that contained a meat product, I would vomit.  Of course, I could get by eating small things like a single meatball or a bite of a hot dog, but if I ate a full meal I would throw it all up as soon as I finished it.

I think hippyflipping has done some sort of psychological damage that causes my body to mentally reject all forms of meat.  Either way, I've decided that I will primarily become a vegitarian from now on since I've so far found it near-impossible to finish any non-vegitarian dish without getting completely sick and vomiting. :syringe:

:pantsfase:

I'm kinda pissed off because I really like my meat.  I'll always miss the taste of steak so I really hope this is onlya temporary psychological problem.

I wish I had the problem...I have tried to go vege many times.  Until my mindset changes though, I don't see it happening.  I still find meat tasty.   (especially FISH!  )

I haven't tried eating fish since this happend. I wonder if my body would reject fish as well. I'm not a big fan of seafood, infact the only fish I like is salmon, but I really really love salmon.

eat your salmon its good for you. Just eat wild salmon. or if you have to take suplements to get your omega.

Some body types just cant handle an all veg diet. Make sure to eat real food and dont become a carb junkey.

raw foods are really good for you.

Also eat lots of citrus and greens for the next couple months. It will help clense and scrub out your system.

See, I could become a vegetarian if I could still eat seafood. But a fish isn't exactly a vegetable.

It's funny cause tongiht I ate vegitarian chicken tenders for dinner. They taste the exact same as real chicken tenders except they contain no real meat. If I had eaten real chicken tenders I would ahve thrown up.

It would be interesting to do a blind fold test on myself to find out if this beyond a psychological problem and if my body actually is rejecting meat.

It all depends on what it means to you..... I say just eat healthy and eat what ever your body tells you it needs to eat. His is saying no to meat. Yours is saying yes to fishies. One can alway just improve on their diet. You dont have to always conform to what the penut gallery says. Like if you ate healthy grains, beans, leafy greens, mushrooms, rice, fruits and vegetables most of the time and had a side of fish or a side of a good quality meat. Not a comercal hormone injected peace of factorised atrosity i mean.

Eat a peace of meat that has lived a good life a life in a healthy enviroment.

It could have to do with hot dogs and meatballs are basically the scraps they sweep off the slaughterhouse floor. I've come to similar realizations in the past, but I haven't stopped eating meat. What I have done is eat a LOT less red meat. I try to go for wild game when I can.. deer is good. And I don't think I could live without fish. Not healthily anyway. Fish is very good for you. The key here is quality of meat. Organic doesn't necessarily mean raised well and not injected with hormones.

And yeah what shiek said.. eat lots of fruits (esp citrus) and green veggies. Regardless of if you eat meat or not.
Most people don't know how to eat a vegetarian diet properly without missing alot of their complete proteins and vitamin Bs and such. Some people can't afford it. And so they end up with vitamin deficiencies and whatnot. If you're not going to eat meat, you have to get all your amino acids and complete proteins from other sources.. which means eating lots of beans/rice, whole grains, legumes, nuts, etc.

I think the biggest problem with meat consumption in our culture is just that we eat WAY TOO MUCH of it. It's alright to eat a little meat now and then... yes you can live without it but it requires a well balanced diet. Just don't make meat your primary foodsource as so many people do... eat tons of fruits and veggies, grains, rice, etc.. eat a little meat here and there if you want. But yeah man fish is really good for you. Salmon, yep.
