using psychedelics to quit smoking.

every trip i've had since i started smoking cigs (three years?) i've spent a little bit of time (from a couple minutes up to an hour) trying to reprogram my brain to not smoke cigs. every time i trip on mushrooms i end up with like an hour of depression and my trip spends about 20 minutes just focusing in on my smoking. i get the same message over and over about how badly the cigs are effecting me, why i started and how i'm just carrying so much crap around.

i've never actually been able to make the leap to quitting though. several trips actually re-enforced my smoking habit despite the initial negativity, because by the end of it smoking a cig is the only normal thing i can feel anymore... very reassuring.

also when i trip i chain smoke like crazy, i think do to the time dialation.

was curious if psychedelics helped anyone else quit?

IMO this just sounds retarded.. may work but i think there are better ways to quit.

Quite personally, I had a very enjoyable time smoking a cigarette on my first (or maybe my second, depending on how you view it)

Mushrooms helped me get away from alcohol, it really opened my eyes to the fact that drugs don't have to hurt the brain. I could honestly feel the detrimental effect of alcohol on my brain after drinking. The brain kind of grows back after not drinking for a while. Ever since I started doing mushrooms (responsibly) I haven't felt the urge to drink any amount of alcohol, great stuff! I also found that cigarettes have absolutely no physical effect on me when I'm tripping, none what so ever! Strange....

well my friend says mescaline helped him quit smoking cigarettes.... and ive heard of work being in regards to drug addiction adn mescaline therapy...


oh and by the way

EVERYONE NEEDS TO DO MESCALINE....

it is just medicine!!!!!!!

ibogaine, also known to fuck poeple up for months afterwards and doesn't always work.

i r not good a science, but from the basics i've heard of how ibogaine chemically works in the brain to get rid of addiction sounds like some crazy shit.
(something about wiping clean your glutomate receptors or something with a G or something?)

edit: by fuck up i don't mean makes you trip for that long, i mean gives poeple the sense of things not being quite right for a good while.
