Every six months or so I get a bug up my ass to completely leave the Shroomery behind.  I make some weepy goodbye post and I end up crawling back two weeks later like a bitch.  :shrug:

Yes, it is addictive, and yes, I will miss it. 

But I've braved just about every kind of withdrawl there is, so I'm quite sure I can make good on my promise to leave. 

I didn't want my goodbye to be abrupt, so I figured I'd keep posting today, just in this thread.

I wouldn't even be responding or posting if it didn't keep getting fresh posts from smart-asses wanting their last chance to tell me off before I go. 

I know how to flame, but I don't do it unless its a response to someone who's already crossed the line.  Thats why I hardly ever get banned. 

seriuosly, when have I ever tried to attack another user without first being provoked?  Just because I berate an idea doesn't mean I berate a person. 

Its real easy to draw a line, but no.  People get pissed off, cuz they lost an arguement about something they feel passionate about, and then come the personal attacks.  Then come the grudges and cliqueish bullshit.

Well, excuse me for being intelligent.  Sorry for bringing up controversial shit and being able to intelligently deffend my ideas.  I didn't realize I was hanging out with a bunch of people with the maturity level of five year olds,

people who can't stand the idea of considering a POV that might be unattractive even if its true.  People who resort to personal attacks when they've lost their arguement. 

I remember a time when people like that were laughed off the shroomery, but it seems the smart people here are beginning to be outnumbered by course idiots.  And with that, I must take my leave of this rat's nest.  :tongue:

well, I guess it doesn't pay to open yourself up on this site. To share your life with other people who have similar interests. To freely speak your mind. I guess this site discourages that kind of thing.

It makes me want to be more guarded in what I post. It makes me not want to post my picture, details from my personal life, or any opinions I have which may be the slightest bit controversial.

But then I figure, if I'm gonna censor myself,

I mean, its no secret I smoke herb, but I'm obviously not worried about admitting that.  The police around here could give two shits about herb.  They can barely even keep people from getting robbed, raped, and killed, and they really don't have time to fuck with me.

I'd say pretty much having an account here is incriminating in itself,
