my old man and my mom were divorced when I was 2

my father had money, my mother didn't

since it was a joint custody situation,

I've seen both sides of the tracks.

I have a perspective most wouldn't understand

because I've literally lived in the wealthy part of town one week,

and the ghetto the next week

for pretty much my entire life until I turned 18

then I was kicked out for doing drugs

got a job at Whole Foods and lived in the ghetto

sold bags just to get by

until my old man came around when I was 20 and told me he'd help me get a decent start,

but only if I went to school.

Its really not that hard to understand

I have a foot in both worlds

which is exactly why I want to be a fucking social worker

and help the less fortunate

even though it means working 60 fuckin hours a week for shit pay.

but there really IS a detective harassing all the people in my complex

and I feel totally justified in walking away

when I almost get killed in a car wreck

and the response from people I've known for years

is to call me a fag

I mean, seriously its not like I need this place to have friends

I have too many friends IRL as it is,

obviously because they are getting me in trouble with my living situation

but on a serious note,

having a near death experience can really make you re-examine your shit

like: "Gee, I almost died and maybe I shoul get off the computer and enjoy life more"

go to more club nights

take a walk in the park

get a real job

etc, etc, etc..."
