grow log!

i just innoculated 6 b+ and 6 treasure coast jars 2 days ago. they are sitting in their box in my marijuana grow box which is 79-80 degrees at all times. is this too warm? well the mix was brf and verm sent sterile from dimitri (quality vendor). i bought it in a biginner kit that he self including jars substrate perlite and verm for a pretty good price. i figured i just spend a little extra money to one stop shop. anyway i want to get a hydro pod for friting and i will have enough money on hand before then. does anyone use a hydropood with sucsess or more importantly failure? well has any one tryed the new dr. bluethumb grow bucket? right now the jars are about 78 deg. ambient temp. and no sign of mycellium or any mold growing yet.

Your temperatures are ok but would be better at 86 degrees, but anywhere above 80 and below 90 is good.

thanks alot i think the jars a quite a bit hotter than ambient temp becuz they are in a box in the grow room

nice i just bought my self a hydrapod for a little later on. i got sick deal on it becuz i already had an airpump nd he offered me an advanced for 139 with the pump!
well i see how it works out later ...

The jars (actually, the mycelium in the jars) will also generate their own heat as the mycelium grows. The jars will typically be a bit warmer inside than the ambient air temperature around them. Thermal death occurs around 106F. Optimal growth (Stamets, TMC) is 86F with sharp dropoffs for both hotter and cooler conditions. My friend keeps her incubator set to 83F for quart jars and bags.

thanks a bunch think that box heats and jars also have more heat that ambient temp so substrate should be around 84-86* hopefully
