this kid lists mycology in his interests and includes a nice pic of some "shrooms" is it just me or do they look like anything but actives?

They are semilanceata or Liberty Caps (I believe) and they are in fact active if they are.

I fuckin hate myspace "ooo look, this is what i want you to think im like"
I have friends who have myspace's and they are nothing like the bullshit they say on their pages.
What's with the need to make your fake self so public and having that desperate need to find new fake people ? Man your talking to people that you probably wouldn't even like if you knew them in real life. What's the point in immersing yourself in fakeness, some weird escapism or denial maybe !
Waste of time i think, go and talk to some real people !

It's not all lonely people hungry for some stranger to fill a void. But, it's not worth defending imo.

I used to have one then I just killed it one day. I got so tired of myspace this myspace that, damnit just call your friend. You'll get a faster response. Myspace is good for one thing. Acquiring vagina. That's it. Vagina. Thank you. *sits down*

I know, i think it's good for meeting old friends and that. I just hate the way people explain themselves, i nearly started one myself but i started writing stuff and went into fake mode so i stopped.
Someone was saying the other day how people that she didn't even talk to in school we're trying to be her best friend on myspace, that's the sort of fake shit im talking about.

I notice that as well. It pisses me off... it's very difficult to explain/describe yourself to anyone in any situation. I think it's kind of like what they were talking about the otherday with the coffee dates in Gillete's dating rant thread. Trying to figure out who/how someone is in a ten minute sitting. It's dumb and innacurate. Turns anyone fake.

Yeah that's true.
I guess i just don't have the need to broadcast myself to random people. It is fake though, not so much for the people who use it for old friends or just check it every now and again. But for those people who are addicted to it they are living in a fake 'easy' world. It is kinda a substitue for actually having friends.

Not P semilanceata, I have years of experience picking Libs. Looks like Panaeolus.

Damnit noob, read the sample ID request post before making an ID request: http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Cat/0/Number/5731447/an/0/page/0
We're going to need a spore print an a better description of the mushroom and it's habitat.
But no, I doubt those are active. Amatoxin said they might be Panaeolus, which they might be, but it's doubtful from the picture of the habitat.
They look vaugely similar to Psilocybe atlantis and other new species of Psilocybes from Georgia. They also kind of resemble some of the new species mjshroomer has found in Asia.

On a second glance the habitat does seem a bit doubtful for Panaeolus. Whatever they are they're definately not P semilanceata

Got a culture of Psilocybe atlantis from Zeronio quite a while back but haven't done anything with it yet... Is that guy still around??? Haven't seen him for ages...

I was looking at some old posts/emails the other day and I was wondering the same thing. There are a lot of hunting forum regulars that have just disappered.
I'd name some of them but I doubt you'd remember them. I'm talking about the guys who taught me everything I know when I first came here.
Speaking of, I wonder what LizardKing is up to? I should call him up. He's a hard dude to get a hold of. I should call Mr. Mushrooms too.
