http://www.futuregarden.com/shop/group-list.html?mCat=propagation&sCat=media Ultrapeat coco-coir grow brick 2.15 Ultrapeat 3 pk. coco-coir brix 5.95 Ultrapeat 6 pk. coco-coir brix 9.85 Ultrapeat 24 brick case 28.85 good prices and the same size brick as grow-brick (this website says it expands to .3 cubic ft and grow-brick expands to 8 quarts). will post soon about presence of trichoderma or any other additives but i think it is 100% organic. beats out grow-brick at every site ive seen if you want to buy more than 1 brick...

I would be very interested to see how this stuff works for you, it is indeed very cheap!!! And it looks to be of a good quality too, when I ordered mine they didn't even come wrapped in anything!!!! Good luck with those!!

their coco-coir is 100% organic with no additives of any kind. i specifically asked about trichoderma and they said no. looks like a winner....

I dont think they would be adding trichoderma to the coir.....i think almost all coir is 100% organic unless its mixed with something else and then its not just coco coir...the only debate with coir is whether its needs sterilzed or not...some say if it comes packed like the gro-brick brand does then it doesnt...others do it just to be safe....

That stuff looks good. It is considerably more than peat, but it is said to be much cleaner than peat. Is this stuff always sterilized? Or do some people just soak it in water with h202?

i dunno about a lotta ppl on here but i sure as hell will always sterilize my casing layer useing 0% H2O2 with cubies. now with pans and a dung casing i wouldnt sterilize but as far as non-nutritious casig layers go sterilizing is the only way to go. peace

I ordered the 24 brick case from Future Garden, not knowing how far a little bit will go :-) The only downside is that they ship UPS which is expensive as hell. Not to mention the UPS guy got smart at the door, "You have a package from.... Fuuuture Garden?". Asshole. Oh, and the 30lb case brought the total to about $50. On a related note, I just sent 4 wheels x 50 lbs each USPS for $60. UPS sucks. Oh, and the coco-coir is good No fruits yet, but everything is going well. Smells good too.

actually its less than peat. one of those bricks equals 8-9 quarts when you add water. thats the size of a big bag of peat moss which are usually about $6-10. the coir bricks are a couple bucks if you can find em locally.
