Ok--another coco coir question (sorry)--Is this coco coir?

It says coco-peat growing medium, but if you read the description, you'll see that it isn't peat moss, that's just the way they're advertising it.

The coco coir casing tek on this site (by roadkill) warns about coco fiber, and how it's different from coco coir and is not what we want. Here's the comparison pic from the tek:

Left: Crumbled coco-coir Right:Coco fiber


Now, the product in question is described in the description as: "...also called cocopeat, coconut and coir fiber."

However, as you can see, the image of this product does not look anything at all like the fiber in the picture above. It looks exactly like coco coir--a dark brick...what's the deal?

Also, if you have any other online sources for coco coir AND vermiculite (because I don't wanna order from two different companys and pay more shipping, although it may just come to that...) to reccomend, please do. Thanks.

that product is a brick of coco coir, yes.

after you break off a piece and add water, it will look like that pile on the left.

Coco coir come in a brick, its really compact. Go to a small reptile store and ask for them.
