Forest Bed vs. Eco Earth Coco Coir

Eco Earth coconut fiber vs. Forest Bed Coco Coir

From what I was told, Eco earth would be more stringy, since its fiber - and is NOT what I want.

Forest bed is what I want.

However, Forest Bed was a LOT more stringy then Eco earth.

I replaced it anyway.

Have you guys had good results with Forest Bed?

I have both and they are exactly the same. The stringyness is not really an issue for me. The eco earth seemed less "stringy," but I doubt the stringyness affects the casing material in any noticeable way. Both brands work fine as they are both coco coir

Coco coir is ground up coconut husk.  Coconut fiber is what you want to avoid.  Eco-earth isn't coco fiber, it's ground coco husk.  Both brands are coco-coir.  Hope that clears up what I was trying to say.  Later

I was just looking at the catalog last night...noticed they looked very similar....the forest bedding only came in 11 lb bags but was cheaper than dirt...

most pet store should carry it if they have a variety of animals...petstores near me carry all sorts of animals but supplies for cats, dogs, birds and fish...why the hell do they sell ferrets and llamas....

hmmm.... Check out local pet stores. I got my coir at this little shitty store, i live in a small town (about 20K people) and don't have too much trouble getting this. Or just order some online from a big petstore. Anywhere with reptiles/amphibians should sell it because it is their bedding.

Petco and petsmart both have it. Ask the person for "brick reptile bedding" or "expandable repitile bedding"
